Seminary Church hosts the Roanoke Community Food Pantry which is a ministry of all Roanoke Churches. Food pantry has canned goods, boxed goods, paper products like toilet paper, laundry detergent and some basic cleaning supplies. What we have varies based on donations.
If you are in need of assistance, please contact Claudia Houck the food pantry coordinator. You can make an appointment with her by calling (260)414-9340. Please do NOT wait until it is an emergency, someone may not be immediately available.
To prevent hunger in Roanoke, Indiana, Seminary Church has stocked free pantry items in the shed beside the church. The shed is a 24/7 opportunity for food. Anyone is welcome to take or give items to the pantry, remembering to take what you need and to give what you can. The pantry is named “Gary’s Groceries” in honor of one of the pantry's late caretakers, Gary Houck, and is meant to be a more accessible option in addition to the scheduled food pick-ups. If anyone from the area is needing assistance or more information, please call Seminary Church at 672-3167.
